Winemaker Notes
2010 was one of the coolest vintages on record in Paso Robles and statewide, with a very mild Spring followed by an incredibly cool summer, with temperatures barely breaking into the 80’s most days. Only one serious heat event occurred in September, while the rest of the season saw very slow and late ripening. Multiple small rainstorms and high mildew pressure frightened growers, but those who were patient were rewarded with beautiful fruit that featured great acidity and expressive flavors. Although not easy, a good vintage.
