NOSE: Black raspberry and boysenberry with charred mesquite meat, cracked pepper, black tea and leather
PALATE: A dense, layered entry. Dark plum and mulberry. Firm, grainy tannin giving shape and grip with a savory core of notes of tapenade and cocao nib

FINISH: Long and structured with lingering dark fruit and smoked spice. Earthen complexity with a mineral edge.
Winemaking Notes
After hand-picking in late September, the fruit was de-stemmed and fermented in small tanks, with regular pump overs to aid extraction. Some dried-out stem inclusion during fermentation. In order to let the varietal fruit shine through, the wine was aged 14 months in primarily neutral French oak barrels. Following this mantra further, the wine was left un-blended in order to let the Mourvèdre speak as a pure, 100% varietal wine.
Pair this wine with wild boar steak and a black cherry truffle sauce.
