Cooking Challenge with Chef Charlie: Gittin Yo “Salsa” On!
Join Chef Charlie in our hilltop Barrel Room kitchen for an engaging, hands-on cooking challenge featuring the heat of homemade salsa.
Chef Charlie will put together an amazing list of ingredients for the participants to choose from, as each team competes for quality, authenticity, originality and (the most important component) taste! The best part will be the hilarity of the taste testing as we attempt to select a winner.
The chef will have special equipment available for the contestants' use, including: Molcajete’s, Blender, Food Processor, heat source, bowls, knives, cutting boards, peelers, strainers, graters, towels, and gloves (watch out for that chili oil!)
Get ready to explore the history and nuances of such iconic salsas as:
1. Salsa Roja (Red Salsa)
2. Salsa Verde (Green Salsa)
3. Salsa de Tamarindo (Tamarind Salsa)
4. Guacamole
5. Salsa Borracha (Drunken Salsa)
6. Salsa Ranchera
7. Mole
8. Salsa de Piña (Pineapple Salsa)
9. Salsa Xnipec (Dog’s Nose Salsa)
10. Chamoy Sauce
11. Pico de Gallo (Salsa Fresca)
12. Salsa Macha

We will accept ticket orders until we reach event capacity.
